Photoshop I: Intro & Basics
In this interactive, beginner-level workshop, we will briefly discuss terminology, how to take good pictures, and how to prepare them for print vs web. Then, we'll dive right into a hands-on experience during which participants will follow along with the instructor to get comfortable with the interface of Adobe Photoshop CS5. You will learn basic image editing techniques such as cropping, resizing, straightening, rotating, adjusting contrast, working with layers, and adding text. This session is best suited for those who have little or no Photoshop experience but are comfortable with computer usage basics such as left/right clicking, dragging, opening/closing/saving files, and navigating through file folders. Macintosh computers will be provided for this session.
This is the first portion of a two-part Digital Union workshop. You may register for both sessions or only one session, but if you wish to attend both portions of this workshop you must register for both portions. The second session registration is here: Photoshop II: Layers, Text & Compositions.
